AED Oil Limited (AED) operates solely in the oil production, and oil and gas exploration industry in Australia. The Company is engaged in the planning and development of the Puffin Field. Ashmore Oil Pty Ltd is its wholly owned subsidiary. On February 21, 2006, AED announced that it had mobilized the Stena Clyde Drill rig to commence the drilling of the Puffin-9 exploration well followed by the drilling of Puffin-7 production well. The Puffin-9 exploration well made two hydrocarbon intersections, deemed to be oil and announced as an oil discovery on March 21, 2006.
