Aura Energy Limited (Aura) is an Australia-based company engaged in the exploration of a number of uranium tenements in Western Australia. The Company's primary focus is the search for uranium in Australia and other jurisdictions where it can operate. As of June 30, 2006, Aura had 33 exploration licenses and applications prospective for uranium ore deposits. These licenses and applications cover an area of approximately 5986 square kilometers. The tenements contain approximately 900 kilometers of prospective channels and palaeochannels. The Company's projects include the Nambi project, the Musson project, the Wongawal project and the Alton project. The Altona project comprises two exploration licenses that cover 115 kilometers of calcrete-bearing channels. The Nambi project includes several uranium channel radiometric peaks in the Lake Way, Lake Maitland drainage system south of Lake Maitland.
