AngloGold Ashanti Limited is a global gold company. The Company's 21 operations are located in 10 countries (Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania and the United States of America), and are supported by exploration activities. The combined proved and probable ore reserves of the group amounted to 63.3 million ounces during the year ended December 31, 2005. The Company's main product is gold. A portion of its revenue is derived from the sale of silver, uranium oxide and sulphuric acid. AngloGold Ashanti sells its products on world markets. Gold production during the year ended amounted to 6.05 million ounces, an increase of 8%.
