Allied Gold Limited (ALD) is engaged in the exploration for gold and other mineral resources. The Company is engaged in the exploration and evaluation of the Simberi Oxide Gold Project. ALD also owns the Red Dam Gold Project in Western Australia. The Simberi Mining Joint Venture owns ML 136 covering the eastern portion of Simberi Island, the northernmost island of the Tabar group, off New Ireland, Papua New Guinea. The Tabar Exploration Joint Venture owns EL609, which covers all of Tatau and Tabar Islands, as well as the ground on Simberi Island not covered by ML136. The Red Dam Project is comprised of P16/1577 and 1578, and applications for M16/344 and P16/2078. The Company operates in Australia and Papua New Guinea.
