Alesco Corporation Limited is engaged in marketing and distribution of industrial brands to the building and renovations, scientific and medical, and construction and mining sectors. Its business segments include Doors & Openers, Kitchen & Laundry, Construction & Mining and Scientific & Medical. Doors & Openers segment produces garage doors and openers. Kitchen & Laundry segment produces home building and renovation products to the kitchen, laundry and bathroom markets. Construction & Mining segment produces specialized construction chemicals, earthmoving and heavy-duty truck tires, and decorative concretes and associated equipment. Scientific & Medical segment produces scientific and medical consumables and equipment for laboratory, environmental and research markets. In September 2006, the Company acquired Corkjoint Australia and Corkjoint Victoria businesses, which market and distribute a range of concrete expansion jointing systems and materials to various markets in Australia.
