Amcor Limited is a packaging company based in Australia. The Company offers a range of packaging and packaging-related services, including corrugated boxes, cartons, aluminum and steel cans, flexible plastic packaging, polyethylene terephthalate plastic bottles and jars, closures and specialty packaging, multi-wall sacks and specialty printed cartons. It has five business segments: Amcor PET, Amcor Australasia, Amcor Flexibles, Amcor Sunclipse and Amcor Asia. It operates in five main geographical areas, Australia and New Zealand, Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia. It is also engaged in distribution services related to its packaging products. It sources or manufactures over 100,000 products, and manages distribution of these items to thousands of locations around North America. On June 20, 2006, it acquired Astron LLC. In January 2007, Silgan Holdings Inc. completed the acquisition of the Company's White Cap Closures businesses in China, the Philippines and Venezuela.
