Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) is a banking company engaged in general banking, mortgage lending, leasing, hire purchase and general finance, international and investment banking, nominee and custodian services, executor and trustee services, life insurance and funds management activities through the ING Australia Limited joint venture. As of September 30, 2006, ANZ had 1,265 points of representation. It operates through three main segments: Personal, Institutional and New Zealand Businesses. Personal is responsible for serving consumer and small business customers across Australia, through its network of 781 branches. Institutional provides corporate clients, from small to medium enterprises (SMEs) to multinationals, with financial solutions. The New Zealand Banking business has 310 branches and 705 automated teller machines (ATMs). In July 2006, ANZ acquired a 20% share in Tianjin City Commercial Bank. In July 2007, ANZ acquired Citizens Security Bank in Guam.
