Arafura Resources Limited, formerly Arafura Resources NL, is a mineral exploration and resource development company. It has over 12,500 square kilometers of tenements in the Northern Territory. Its primary asset, the Nolans Bore rare earth and phosphate project, is located 13 5 kilometers north of Alice Springs. This project is complemented by its uranium assets, including Lagoon Creek on the Queensland-Northern Territory border, the Lucy Creek prospects and the Aileron Basins tenements. Gold assets include the Mt Porter and Frances Creek projects in the Pine Creek area, and the Kurinelli gold project located in the Davenport Ranges. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2006, it undertook a 10,000-meter drilling program for Nolans Bore to test the extension to mineralization. In April 2006, it decided to demerge the its uranium assets. On March 16, 2007, the Company announced the listing of its demerged uranium exploration company, NuPower Resources Ltd.
