Australian Worldwide Exploration Limited (AWE) is an Australia-based company engaged in the exploration for oil and gas; appraisal and development of oil and gas properties, and production and sale of oil, gas and condensate. AWE has oil and gas interests in Australia, located on onshore Otway basin, offshore Otway basin, Perth basin and Bass basin; in Argentina, located on Neuquen basin, and in New Zealand, located on Taranaki and Canterbury basins. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2006, AWE acquired all the shares in New Zealand Overseas Petroleum Limited (NZOP).
