Babcock & Brown Japan Property Trust (the Trust) is a property trust that invests in the real estate market of Japan. The principal activities of the Company, during the fiscal year ended June 30, 2006, were investments in interests in properties in Japan, with any surplus funds being invested in short-term deposits. As of June 30, 2006, the Trust held interests 31 properties in Japan comprising nine retail, 19 office and three residential properties, located primarily in the central and greater Tokyo area. The responsible entity of the Trust is Babcock and Brown Japan Property Management Limited, a subsidiary of Babcock & Brow. During the fiscal year ended the Trust acquired interests in 20 properties. It also announced its intention to acquire interests in five retail properties.
