It operates in five segments: real estate, which is engaged in principal investment and investment management activities in the real estate sector worldwide; infrastructure, which is engaged in financial advisory, principal finance and funds management activities in the global infrastructure and project finance sector; structured finance, which is engaged in creation and marketing of structured finance products; operating leasing, which is engaged in asset acquisition and syndication and ongoing management of portfolios of aircraft, railcars and semiconductor equipment, and corporate finance, which is engaged in origination, structuring and participation in principal investments and interest in third-party fund managers. On February 28, 2007, it acquired BNP Residential Properties, Inc.
