Cockatoo Coal Limited is an Australia-based coal exploration company. The Company's four coal projects, which comprise approximately 49,795 hectares in Queensland, are Wonbindi (mineral development license (MDL) 352, and exploration licenses (EPCs) 674 and 742) in the Bowen Basin; Dingo (EPCs 862 and 863) in the Bowen Basin; Guluguba (MDL187) in the Surat Basin, and Mintovale (MDL138) in the Moreton Basin. The Company's two lead projects, Wonbindi and Dingo, cover an area of approximately 48,640 hectares with Permian age, Rangal Coal Measures sub-cropping over a strike length of 80 kilometers, on the southeastern flank of the Bowen Basin. The Wonbindi and Dingo project areas contain coal deposits, which include low-volatile pulverized coal injection (PCI) coal. Cockatoo Coal's primary focus is metallurgical and thermal coal at its contiguous Wonbindi and Dingo projects. Its subsidiaries include Wonbindi Coal Pty Ltd, Corella Coal Pty Ltd, Surat Coal Pty Ltd and Moreton Coal Pty Ltd.
