Felix Resources Limited is an Australian mining company investing in, developing and operating resource-related projects with a primary focus on coal. The Company's assets include Yarrabee and Minerva open-cut coalmines in Queensland, the Ashton open-cut and underground coalmines and the Moolarben coal development project in New South Wales, and the Ultra Clean Coal (UCC) technology division. UCC technology, which the Company purchased from UCC Energy Pty Ltd., is a process for producing chemically cleaned coal as a feedstock for gas turbines to generate electricity. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2006, Yarrabee mine produced 1.7 million tons of coal and Ashton Mine produced 2.23 tons of run of mine (ROM) coal. Mining commenced at Minerva in July 2005. Moolarben is based on a thermal coal resource and its tenements cover 110 square kilometers with a coal deposit comprising a single coal seam averaging 10 meters in thickness.
