Fairfax Media Limited, formerly John Fairfax Holdings Ltd., is an Australia-based company engaged in the news, information and entertainment publishing, and advertising sales in newspaper, magazine and electronic formats. In Australia, mastheads include The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Australian Financial Review, BRW and The Sun-Herald. Its New Zealand mastheads include The Dominion Post, The Press, The Sunday Star-Times, TV Guide and Cuisine. In addition, it publishes regional and community newspapers, financial and consumer magazines, and provides online, interactive and e-commerce services through Fairfax Digital in Australia and stuff.co.nz in New Zealand. In April 2006, Fairfax New Zealand Holdings Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, acquired 100% of the issued capital of Trade Me Ltd., a company based in New Zealand that operates an online auction Website. In July 2006, the Company acquired The Border Morning Mail Ltd.
