GPT Group is a diversified listed property groups with total assets of $12 billion and operations located in Australia, US, the UK and Europe. The Group’s operations include:
- Property ownership, through the Group’s investment portfolio located in Australia and the US;
- Funds management, in Europe and Australia;
- Development of assets, both on GPT’s balance sheet and on behalf of the Group’s Australian wholesale funds.
GPT has invested in quality investment properties located around Australia in the retail, office, hotel and tourism, and industrial and business park sectors. The group also has a portfolio of seniors housing assets in US.
GPT Group’s fund management business includes two funds - Australian based GPT Wholesale Office Fund launched in July 2006 and GPT Shopping Centre Fund launched in March 2007. In July 2007, the group has acquired an established business in Europe, GPT Halverton. GPT Group currently has over $7 billion in assets under management through these funds.
Other real estate investments include a 50% interest in a joint venture with global investment and advisory firm Babcock & Brown.
The group is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange since 1971.

The Group’s strategy is focused on the ownership, management and development of real estate in a range of markets and sectors.
GPR Group employs industry specialists with dedicated, sector-specific teams to build its capabilities which include expertise in various aspects of properties.

The group’s realized operating income increased 13.5% to A$558.6 million in 2006 from A$492.3 million in 2005. During the same period, the group’s total assets increased 15.1% to A$12,001.9 million from A$10,431.7 million in 2005. GPT’s total assets have grown from $6 million in 1971 to $12 billion in June 2007. For the year to June 30, 2007, GPT's accumulation return was 13.7% compared to the return for the LPT Index, which was 25.9% for this period.
