GRD Limited is an independent Australian engineering and development company. The principal activities of the Company comprised engineering, GRD Minproc Limited (GRD Minproc) is an engineering construction business providing services and specializing in the design, procurement and construction of mineral resource and waste-to-resource projects; waste-to-resources development, Global Renewables has assembled technologies for the recovery of resources from the municipal solid waste stream, and waste-to-resources operating, Global Renewables owns and operates an urban waste treatment project incorporating the UR-3R Process at Eastern Creek in Sydney, Australia. The Eastern Creek UR-3RTM Facility is designed to process 175,000 tons of municipal solid waste per annum. GRD disposed of its interests in Oceana Gold Limited (Oceana Gold) during the year ended December 31, 2006.
