Great Southern Ltd., formerly Great Southern Plantations Limited, is engaged in the development, marketing, establishment and management of agribusiness-based projects, being hardwood plantation, wine grape, organic olive and beef cattle projects. The Company purchases suitable farmland to hold for the long-term for its strategic value and to benefit from capital appreciation. This land together with suitable leasehold land secured by the Company is made available to investors in the Company's projects. It also provides finance to investors in each project. The Company is organized into three divisions: managed investment schemes (MIS), which consists of the promotion, packaging and management of agricultural based managed investment schemes; financing, which provides finance for investors in the managed investment schemes, and sale of agricultural produce, which is engaged in selling of cattle and the harvesting and sale of timber, woodchips, wine grapes and organic olives.
