Harvey Norman Holdings Limited is an integrated retail and property company. The Company is a franchisor, it sells homeware and electrical goods in New Zealand, Slovenia and Ireland, provides consumer finance, property investment, lessor of premises to Harvey Norman franchisees and other third parties, and engaged in media placement. The Company operates through 11 primary segments: Franchising Operations, Retail-New Zealand, Retail-Rebel Sport, Retail-Asia, Retail-Slovenia, Non-Franchised Retail, Retail Property, Property Under Construction for Retail, Property Developments for Resale, Financial Services and Share Trading. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2006, 12 franchised complexes were introduced, including nine Harvey Norman complexes, one domayne complex and two Joyce Mayne complexes. As of June 30, 2006, the Company operated 174 franchised complexes in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Slovenia.
