Incitec Pivot Limited is an Australia-based company, which is principally engaged in the manufacture and distribution of fertilizers. The Company has six manufacturing plants in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. It has a distribution network stretching from Darwin in the Northern Territory to Brighton in southern Tasmania. Incitec Pivot Limited's product range includes urea, ammonium phosphates, superphosphate and anhydrous ammonia, which are applied as solids in granulated form, as liquid nutrients or as gas injected into the soil. These Australian-manufactured and imported fertilizers are sold through a network of 450 business partners. These businesses, mostly locally owned enterprises in rural and regional centers, retail the Company's products as agents, or as independent or corporate dealers. On August 1, 2006, the Company acquired Southern Cross Fertilisers Pty Ltd from BHP Billiton Limited.
