Kingsgate Consolidated Limited is a gold mining and exploration company. It is engaged in mining activities in Thailand, and mineral exploration activities in Thailand, Chile and Peru. It has also has exploration activities in Argentina. Through its subsidiary, Akara Mining Limited, it owns and operates the Chatree Gold Mine located in central Thailand. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2006 (fiscal 2006), total production at Chatree was 140,071 ounces of gold and 459,701 ounces of silver. In South America, it continues to pursue opportunities and acquire tenements in Peru, Chile and Argentina in search for gold and silver epithermal systems. On August 17, 2006, its Thai subsidiaries were granted 51 exploration licenses that surround the Chatree mine in the Pitchit and Pitsanulok Provinces. In fiscal 2006, it acquired a 13.67% interest in Andean Resources Limited. In December 2006, it sold its entire stake (approximately 19.7% interest) in Goldstar Resources Limited.
