Macquarie Communications Infrastructure Group (MCG) is engaged in investment in communications infrastructure. Broadcast Australia Pty Limited (BA), a provider of analogue and digital transmission services to the Australian broadcasting corporation (ABC) and special broadcasting service (SBS) across Australia. On May 11, 2006, Broadcast Australia and THL Australia signed a repair and maintenance agreement, adopting an approach to the management of BA's network of broadcast infrastructure and equipment across Australia. Macquarie UK Broadcast Holdings Limited and its controlled entities (Arqiva) provided broadcast transmission, site leasing infrastructure and independent wireless site leasing services from 1,950 sites located across the United Kingdom. In April 2007, the Company acquired National Grid Wireless. In July 2007, MCG announced the acquisition of Global Tower Partners (GTP) by a Macquarie consortium led by Macquarie Communications and Macquarie Infrastructure Partners.
