Orica Limited is engaged in the manufacture and distribution of mining products and services, fertilizers, consumer products, chemical products and chemical services. Mining Services segment offers explosives and mining services, initiating systems and blasting technology. Consumer Products segment manufactures and supplies paints and other surface coatings to the decorative and technical markets and a range of home handyman, car care and garden care products. Chemnet segment distributes a range of industrial and specialty chemicals, raw materials, ingredients and associated services. Chemical Services segment provides industrial and specialty chemicals, including chlorine, MIEX DOC resin, sodium hypochlorite, caustic soda, adhesives and resins, and related chemicals. On June 1, 2006, it acquired Dyno Nobel businesses in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America. In January 2007, the Company sold its Adhesives and Resins businesses to Hexion Specialty Chemicals.
