Peptech Limited is engaged in the research and development, investment in and licensing of technology, and the formulation, manufacture and marketing of peptide-based products for the pharmaceutical and veterinary industries. It is engaged in the development of lead compounds directed at the anti-inflammatory biologics market. PN0621 is Peptech's domain antibody-based compound that is being developed for the treatment of multiple inflammatory diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn's disease. PN0615 is Peptech's monoclonal antibody that has been validated in a rheumatoid arthritis industry standard model. Its animal health products are Ovuplant and Suprelorin. On May 24, 2006, it acquired Promics Limited. Through the acquisition, it has obtained a portfolio of drugs that work by inhibiting the action of the complement system in blood and tissue fluids. Promics' advanced drug candidate is PMX53 that inhibits inflammation by targeting the receptor for the C5a complement factor.
