St. Barbara Limited is an Australia-based company. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2006 (fiscal 2006), the principal activities of the Company were gold production, gold and mineral exploration. It is engaged in sustaining and extending the life of the Southern Cross Operations, developing operations at Leonora, and exploring for gold, nickel and copper in Australia. The Southern Cross Operations are centered at Marvel Loch, 30 kilometers south of the town of Southern Cross and 360 kilometers east of Perth, Western Australia. The lodes being mined at Marvel Loch include Sherwood and Undaunted at the North; Firelight and Exhibition at the Center, and East and New at the South. Open pit mining at Hercules, 12 kilometers south of the Marvel Loch Processing Plant is in progress. Other mineral resources being reviewed include Frasers South, Transvaal, Jacoletti and Parbo-Nevoria. The processing plant located at Marvel Loch treated a total of 2.4 million tons during fiscal 2006.
