Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) is engaged in the operation and provision of telecommunication systems and services and, investment holding. SingTel is communications company with operations and investments in more than 20 countries and territories. The Company provides services and solutions in fixed, mobile and data communications, Internet, information technology (IT) and consultancy, and satellite. Its other businesses include subscription television and the sale of telecommunications equipment. In addition, SingTel is licensed to offer Internet services and has also obtained frequency spectrum and license rights from the Info-communications Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) to install, operate and maintain third-generation (3G) mobile communication systems and services respectively, as well as wireless broadband systems and services. In October 2006, SingTel sold its entire 40% stake in PT Bukaka SingTel International to PT Bukaka Telekomindo International.
