Valad Property Group is a property trust engaged in passive property ownership, property funds investment and property funds management. It operates through two business segments. Under the property investment segment, Valad Property Trust, a property trust invests directly in properties located throughout Australia. Under the property funds management and short-term investment segment, Valad Funds Management Limited, a funds management company establishes and manages listed and unlisted property funds. Valad Funds Management offers property investments across a range of risk/return profiles from investment property portfolios to specialist and value adding investment opportunities. It invests in listed and unlisted property funds, and holds short-term investments prior to disposal/syndication or sell down to external investors. Valad Funds Management manages over $1.3 billion in real estate investment and development funds. In July 2007, the Company acquired Scarborough.
