Worleyparsons Limited is engaged in the provision of engineering design and project services to various sectors, including hydrocarbons, power, minerals and metals, and infrastructure; provision of maintenance and reliability support services to these sectors, and infrastructure developments. It has four business segments: Hydrocarbons, Power, Minerals & Metals, and Infrastructure. The Hydrocarbons segment incorporates the Oil and Gas and Refining, Petrochemicals and Chemicals business units. It operates in Australia and New Zealand, Asia and the Middle East, America and Europe. Outside of Australia, activities are in the Hydrocarbons and Power segments. In October 2006, it announced the acquisition of the remaining 50% interest in its Australian power and water joint venture, Burns & Roe Worley Pty Ltd (BRW). In March 2007, it completed the acquisition of the Colt Companies, a Canadian design and project services business.
